Wednesday's Powerball jackpot has grown to a world record $1.5 billion dollars.
Lottery officials have boosted the jackpot for two days in a row because of strong ticket sales, and it could grow again if ticket sales keep up the brisk pace.
The jackpot is so large billboards don't have enough digits to display the actual amount, and they remain fixed at $999-million.
Officials said the odds of winning the world record payout are one in 292.2 million.
The winner could choose to take the 1.5 billion dollar prize in installments over 29 years or in one lump sum of 930 million.
No matter how the prize is collected, Uncle Sam will take his cut of nearly 40%.
Lottery officials believe at least 80% of the 292.2 million number combinations will be purchased before Wednesday's drawing.
Tioga Downs has announced they'll be giving away 2,000 free Powerball tickets Wednesday at the casino in Nichols, between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Tickets are on a first come first serve basis, guests must be at least 18 years of age and it's one ticket per person.
You can watch the Powerball drawing on WETM-TV during 18 News at Eleven.
